I have done several projects for this local publisher specializing in short-medium run perfect bound and case bound books. The books are laid out from start to finish including covers, dust jackets and inner matter from raw files provided by the author or editor. The covers often involve taking photos of framed artwork or touching up and color correcting the provided files to make sure they are optimal for production and true to the original. Text is carefully formatted to meet printing and binding specifications. After the press-ready files are sent to press, I also generate e-book versions and create order forms and other materials to promote sales of the books.
